Symptoms:


1. Users may encounter the error message: "Agent not found" when launching or using the MyID client.


2. This issue may occur even if the system was previously working without problems. Sudden failures often point to environmental changes or service disruptions.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Chrome is introducing a new permission prompt for websites that attempt to connect to a user’s local network.

1. When accessing MyID Agent for the first time, users must grant permission by accepting the prompt displayed by Chrome.

Example below, the Chrome browser will prompt to look for and connect to any device on your local network, if you are using Securemetric Smart Card Reader and MyID agent for web application, then please click on the Allow button.
2. Alternatively, you can manage this permission manually by clicking the site information icon (the icon to the left of the web address) and enabling Local Network Access
